Currently debating the scoring with a friend. The differences could be anything from just different tastes in music to potentially repaying political debts (in a small way).

Eurovision has seen a lot of block voting in the past, but it’s difficult to see what could be the cause of some voting.

With that said, i have no idea what the music was actually like, I have early 90’s rave music on as I work. Oceanic FTW

I missed this last night, but it’s almost as good to read through the comments with iPlayer open. You read something, think ‘WTF are they on about?’, wind through to the performance and then ‘Bam! Now I understand!’

Finland clear performance of the night obvs. Won’t spoil it but when the hotpants appeared I couldn’t work out the physics, no way were they going to lift him like that, he’d spin round, slide out and Finland would end up in a crumpled mass of hair and immodesty. So when THAT happened – magnificent!

I have no idea why the BBC persists with a corporately selected song.   If we are going to come last let’s at least be collectively responsible !

Not sure a “referendum” to pick our song would be a good idea, how well does that work in this country 😂. Enjoyed the show this year lots of fun and some good songs and performances.
Don’t really see the the public support for the Israeli entry as a right wing/tory scum thing, perhaps just sympathy for a pretty 20yr old girl getting boo’s whilst singing her heart out representing her country 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think anyone should be thinking the Israel result is very authentic.
