    Hey all,

A chap in work has purchased a YT Jeffsy Core 2 and is currently patiently (or rather.. impatiently) waiting for it to arrive.

He went to the ‘mill’ last friday and placed an order. The mill dont keep any bikes in stock, they all have to come from Germany. So its very much like a car showroom. See what you like, then place an order. Which surprised me a little. Whilst i appreciate they couldnt/wouldnt keep everything in all sizes, i wouldve thought that they may have a stock of the more popular models, but anywho, thats besides the point.

So, has anyone ordered from the YT Mill before and how long did it take from point of order to being able to collect your shiny new bike?

    thanks in advance!

This is the kind of question your mate should have asked before he paid for the bike

    He did.

It was a vague 2-5 days of receiving a dispatch email.

Showroom spiel vs real world input is what i am after.

    But thanks.

I thought the YT website had rough delivery estimates on it

looks like there are rough dates if its not in stock.

So, back to my original question…. has anyone ordered from the YT Mill before and how long did it take from point of order to being able to collect your shiny new bike?

Sounds like it is basically just ordering from the website, in which case it all depends on what their stock position is.  Usually it gives an estimate for delivery when you place the order.  No different to ordering it from home.

    Yes. About 5 months.

It was due to arrive before brexit, it didn’t so they had to pay all the import duty etc.

edit: tbf, I’m glad I went in as I’d have ordered the wrong size without the trip.

@jimdubleyou  – thanks for the feedback… i wont tell him 5 months tho, his head might explode 😀 😀

They were certainly helpful there, so no issues there.

I have told him good things come to those who wait!

I ordered a Capra, pre brexit, before the mills were around.  Took about two weeks all told.  I called the mill last week, regarding the Jeffsy.  They made it very clear that they have nothing to do with the process, you order via the website, it comes from Germany.  They offer a collection service and a build service, but hold no stock of bikes.
As pointed out by others, the website does show dates for stock availability, which will make a difference.  The core two in black is shown in stock currently, whereas the green one is showing as mid August.  Big difference.   However you can’t blame the industry for not wanting to carry excess stock in these difficult times.

for sure. He was curious as to if folks waited a week or a month, for bikes showing in stock.

I guess thats why its a showroom, not a bike shop.

    Patience is a virtue n’all

Sounds like they just click “buy” on the website for him?

So you may as well ask how long it takes for bikes to arrive for anyone who’s ordered online?

Can’t comment on delivery times, but I did message them via their website with a query re: one of their bikes last week. They came back with a full response in less than 24hrs.
