I just can't work out what I'm supposed to do. Feel a bit out of my depth.

I have the Synology plugged into the sonos bridge.

I've installed the software.

I've mapped the synology to my laptop

I can't work out how to get the sonos to read the synology. I'm about to give up and have wasted hundreds of pounds!!!!

HELP!

I'm no expert on the sonos but I'm guessing it support DLNA sources so you need to make sure you have a DLNA server running on your synology.

It might not come enabled by default.

I have Sonos DS411j and a Sonos system via a "Connect". Been running a year or two and I believe both are connected to my router. I thought the bridge was just an extender-type facility?? You just need to get all your music on the Synology and then point the Sonos at the NAS...et voila.

I hav a Sonos setup here but with a Iomega NAS. You need both setup up on the same router (ie NAS and Sonos Bridge). Then set it up through you PC Sonos software - I don't recall the exact details but I do recall it was fairly straightforward.

I don't know what the bridge is, but shouldn't your NAS be plugged into the router?

My research into sonos (i.e. as told by the guy at Sevenoaks) is that you plug both the nas and the bridge into your router.

I think also you need to have a subdirectory called music perhaps? It needs to see a route directory. I think.

I've Googled stuff on it the last couple of days, there are sonos and av forums that discuss this kind of thing.

Did you buy the nas complete or enclosure and discs? I've read somewhere (probably amazon) that you need to have discs from their supported list (and set them up correctly?)? There's a fairly mixed bag of response on the customer review/feedback thing there...

Rich: the bridge is the wireless part for the room devices (as far as I can work out anyways).

Have you switched it off and back on again
if this does not work you need level 2 support
