Any Fiamma awning owners out there?

Not used mine yet this year due to weather and work commitments

just rolled it out and the fabric has separated, so it’s two layers, top and bottom and you can put your hand in between

i assume these should be stuck together? Anyone got any idea what glue would be suitable, my first thought was stormsure

I’d like to fashion some kind of repair as…

A) after a brief google it appears the price of replacement fabric is a bit punchy at around £300

B) it looks like it has to come from Italy and takes a month. I’m off to France next week

Can you not just use it as is? To be honest I have a F35pro from 2010 which is still fine, how old is yours ma I ask.

i guess you need to get it flat, glue and then weights on top of it.

Does it matter if it’s separates in the middle if the edges are together? If you can get it dry and then use contact adhesive maybe.

Keep an eye out on ebay for used ones comming up or ones where the metal has been damaged

We had one replaced as it had warped at one end due to heat damage in the wild fires a couple of years ago

Everything else was very good but it wouldn’t close In at the front end. I think it was sold on for spares or repair

Sadly it ripped half way down the front edge. so its now in two complete pieces.

I would try and fix with some tape for the holiday and then source a replacement. The only issue you might face is finding tape which can cope with the heat. Sail repair tape or T-Rex tape (screwfix) might work if you tape both sides and don’t tension it too much.
