I was looking for one of the many “what t-shirt?” threads and found this

Old T Shirts – just had 'The Conversation '……

Which isn’t far off my current situation; last year I realised my pile of t-shirts was a bit ridiculous especially as I was still wearing some from c.20 years ago. I’ve since let go an MBC Chamonix classic, a SITS 2004or5 immortal and my Whistler 2005 souvenir has an era of sweaty whiff about it that doesn’t match my age by 2 decades. Now some of my newest T’s are getting on for 10 years old so I’ve a way to get before lifting the embargo on new ones but if history is anything to go by I’m a decade away from needing new t-shirts and I seem to be imparting less aroma these days so maybe looking at T-zero by 2040. Which is handy because I can’t see much to tempt me into spending these days.

I recently worked for a TV producer who was younger than my t-shirt

I still own a (long sleeved) t-shirt that I got for my 19th birthday.

    I’m 48!

When I started in fire service I was often reminded by an old hand….hey laddie my socks have been in the job longer than you. 😀

I’ve a couple of T-shirts that are around the same age as my boss.

    One was made by Elbry.

two years ago I rediscovered a purple tie dye t-shirt I made when I was 12. Apparently 2022 was very big for tie dye and purple, but no one gave a shit, probably because I’m 45.
