Planning on taking a summer trip campervanning (that should read biking) with Mrs Buzzard in Northern Italy and the Alps. We are planning to fly to Nice, pick up the camper and drive to Como (and surrounds). From there its across the Alps, but as an Alps newbie I’m looking for advice. Any suggested campervanning sites? Best places to stay where wife can get some walking and riding in, but where I can have a few days out on my own too? Suggested route back to Calais?

    All help greatly appreciated.

Back to calais on the autoroute but you have to remember you will attract the slightly higher tolls for being taller.

As for sites depends if you or the missus likes luxury or cheapness, in france there are loads of places/car parks you can just stop in Morzine & Les Gets were fine, there is a nice campsite in Les Gets too, we also stayed up the hill above the 4x last year was fine too.

Les Arcs you can park up in the Arc car parks or around there, site in the town have showers and pools
