Firstly, thanks to those recent donators. We really appreciate your continued support.
TLDR – We are close to launch – possibly this week.
Wordpress VIP are doing some final load testing after the initial testing a few weeks ago. We’ve made some significant code changes and it looks to have made the right kind of improvements to performance.
When we make the switch over it won’t be instant and a heads up for maybe 24 hours there may be some odd things happen to your browsing. This is normal when DNS changes are made to a site. Not every single page in your browser will suddenly originate from the new server and that might result in some oddities. Please bear with us while the internet gets used to the new home of our site.
On the t-shirt front we are just waiting for delivery now. As soon as they turn up I’ll let you all know. Then it’s down to us packing them up and getting them in the post.
In other news we’ve had a spate of deliveries to you from us that have turned up without postage on that has meant some of you have had to pay the post to get your orders. This is obviously really shit and when we’ve been told of that happening we have of course refunded any extra costs. While this is entirely our fault we have tracked down the issue. We take all our postage over the road to our local post office where we have an arrangement where they then add all the necessary postage and bill us monthly for the cost. It seems some of our bags of post have been put in the system without them actually adding the stamps, which is sub optimal to say the least. Now we know where the problem lies it should not happen again. Sorry for anyone who was faced with a bill for unpaid postage.
