    24:36 and 11-36 rear

Contemplated a 1×10 with a 32 front but for now can’t be added with changing the much, chain length, getting a chain guide, etc. Also as it’s a SRAM setup, do they even do a clutch type much and would I need one?

I had a 36-11 and 32 upfront on mine was fine for most climbs the odd really long one I had to dig deep , but I am a fat old duffer, I run an XTR + mech and an MRP X1 with an e-13 single ring , moved the set up over to my 26″ bike but now run the e-13 XCX spins out too easy so have an 34 to go on soon.

32f / 36r would just about manage up here but there are a few places where you’d have to push [sparrow legs however]…..

24/38 with 11-36 on both of them

Although the HT may go 1x with a 32t front, or even smaller

    1×9 –> 32:11-32 but will go up to a 36 when I switch to 10 speed
    SS –> 32:18

I’m running a Hammerschmidt on mine with a 22t ring and a 34t 9 speed cassette. If I ever decide to ditch the HS it will be for a 1 x 11 set up so that I can retain the low spinny gears that suits my sit and spin riding style.

I run a compact set up on my race bike of 30-35t with 11-36 and on my training bike I run a 26-37t

32:18, sometimes feel the need of a 19 in the mud and then forget to change it. Probably try a 34 upfront when the chain ring dies.

I asked above but it’s been missed in the discussion. If I go 1×10 will my standard SRAM long cage mech be OK? SRAM don’t do a clutch mech as far as I know?

10spd SLX kit here, long cage mech. 32 x 11-36, but most of time is 33-18 SS. In fact been over a year since I ran grrrrs, & the SIR.9 has never had grrrs.

SS ring is a wobble ring so an unfair advantage really. 🙂
