Hokay, this may be awkward without pictures.

I have just bought a Rockshox Pike with a 20mm Maxle thingie.

In my shed I have what I believe is a standard 20mm wheel.

I have removed from the wheel a threaded axle adaptor thingie which takes what seems to be a fairly standard type cam QR preumably for open dropouts which came with the wheel. The maxle now fits through the hub body, but the hub shell is a good bit narrower than the distance between the dropouts. The wheel can therefore slide from side to side on the Maxle.

Is there a thingumabob or a widget of some sort that I need to buy to make it all work, or have I simply managed to have entirely the wrong sort of wheel for the job?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

    🙂

What hubs are you using? When I converted my Hope Bulbs, they came with a couple of spacers that fit either side that fill in the gaps.

Sounds like you need some spacers or adaptors each side
