Is it just my laptop or is everyone in the same boat? All vids are silent.
Vimeo works fine...

Have you accidentally set the youtube volume control to mute ?
If the speaker control (bottom, middle of youtube frame) is red then it's muted.

Some videos in the UK have sound copywrite issues, so youtube has removed the sound.
