Hi

I have the above micro system for our bedroom but after our recent house move, it isn't right any more? basicly, if you try to play a CD, it'll skip and jump after about 3/5 seconds. We have a local guy that says it'll be fixable and a new lazer is needed but that'll be like, £80. With it being nearly 4 years old, should i buy a new system and keep the Piano Craft speakers or get it fixed? what could i get that would still sound good for that kind of money or so? the Yamaha cost us £299 new.

Cheers

Good little system that but you can now get the Denon dm38 at £179.

IME once a piece of kit has gone wrong then it will never be the same again. I'd cut my losses and buy a new system.
