My eldest is trying to buy something from the Fortnite item shop (as he has done before without issue). Every time he tries to buy something he gets a message saying he'll need to ask permission from me, but he has money in his Microsoft account that he can spend without needing to get permission. If I try and grant him permission, I'm asked to add money to allow him to do so (but he has the money already). Everything looks fine so I'm stumped. Any suggestions welcome! 🙂
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
Is it an age restricted item?
The child profiles have settings that prevents the kids buying stuff based on the age settings.
My two boys both have the ability to spend money that I pay into their accounts unsupervised but they have different age settings to stop the 11 year old buying 18 games for example.
Cheers PP 🙂
It's an item that is age restricted but it's in his age group so he should be able to buy it. His brother bought the same thing and he had no issue, they are both in the same age band. The only thing I'm aware of is that he changed his gamertag recently, can that cause a problem?
