After rearranging my livingroom I can no longer plug my xbox directly into my internet router so I believe I need a WIfi adapter thing!

Ebay has shown me a bewildering array of offical and non offical types of these things and I am lost!!

Do I definately need an offical Xbox one or are there others out there which do the job as well if not better??

Can someone please recommend me one?

Thanks

If there is any possibility of plugging into the router do that. (A longer ethernet cable may be cheaper than the wifi adaptor). I have only used one with the wifi adaptor at a mates house and it wasnt great for playing games online.

Or, you could go for a wireless extender or a powerline adaptor.
We used the latter for many years quite happily.

Buy a longer ethernet cable, most pc shops will sell by the mtr and attach the plugs for alot less than the wifi adapter. If you have the newer xbox either 4gb/250gb it has built in wifi but its a lot slower than a hard wired system.

I take it this is an old Xbox? Just that the new ones have wi-fi built in. Sorry if you knew this 🙂
