cant seem to catch my breath , its as if my body is forgetting to breath and I start gasping for air and grab 6-8 quick breaths before it settles down again . Then the cycle repeats itself 2 mins later . Back into normal relaxed breathing then off we go again panting for air.
Theres a restriction too , like breathing through a snorkle , well kind of
cant fill my lungs with a decent breath either

Could well be stress my friend.

You have a lot on your mind at the moment. That said, don't be afraid to call 111 if you feel the need, that's what it's there for mate.

Acid reflux? Over the last year or so have had breathing issues, was diagnosed with liver issues, hypertension even had a 2nd tonsillectomy as one had grown back. With talk of the big C.

None of the above.

Latest diagnosis and hopefully correct is Acid reflux.

Can feel like something stuck in your throut. At worst choking, rubbish taste in mouth, too much phlegm and coughing. Told to cut fatty food, acidic drinks and hit the gaviscon.

When I had bronchitis it felt like that, almost like there’s a barrier in your windpipe stopping you taking a full breathe. Seemed the more I concentrated on not being able to breathe the worse it got.

Covid-19?

10er on the OP being the first STWer to get frogmarched off by Public Health England employees in full hazmat gear.

On a serious note, try not to worry - as this is out of your control now - the probabilities that you don’t have cancer are hugely in your favour.

Indeed, the GP may well add the cancer tag to hurry you up the waiting list, in my case a new growth in the throat meant automatically assuming cancer, it wasn't.
