Just ordered the "wrong" diesel filter for my VAG 2.0TDI.
The filter I've bought is the right diameter, however is 80mm or so longer than the correct filter, due to including a water trap I believe.
Connections at the top look identical and there is enough space in the engine bay to fit it.
It was sold as being suitable for VW/Audis (bosch brand)
Am I right in thinking that if anything it'll be better than the OEM spec filter as it has a water trap? (the "correct" filter doesn't)
