Was looking today and was very impressed with the quality, but we have no idea how affordable they are? They seem to be the most expensive range? Has anyone got any thoughts on them regarding general quality or affordability?

There was a kitchen fitter on here recommending the Wren kitchens, I think that the "normal" range is very affordable.

However, looking at the dovetail joints on those Linda Barker ones, I would guess they are eye watering expensive. Also, a lifetime guarantee doesn't come cheap.

Mind you I'm tight and I thought £3.5k from Howdens was more than enough for some cabinets!

There's a kitchen shop down the road from us that sells them. The owner drives an Aston Martin DB9, and the two sales staff both drive brand new 911's.

Make of that what you will

Unlike the auto electrics place I used to live near, I don't actually think it is.

Some kitchens, as someone already noted, are eye-wateringly expensive. Ironically I've always found that the people who have these ridiculously expensive kitchens are the ones who usually just order takeaways, or do beans on toast in the microwave 🙂

Just had another look and you can get the same looking one from Wren in the Linea range, not the Linda Barker one with the fancy dovetail drawers. Presume this will be cheaper but still have no way to compare as they won't even give us a price for a standard base unit.

Didn't impress me much when I visited thier store. We wandered around for 10 minutes and no-one even said hello - if they treat potential customers like that, goodness knows what they would be like in the event of a problem.

Have a look at diy-kitchens.com - you've got to find someone to bolt it in, but they come assembled so it's a simple fitting job.

Ramsbottom Kitchen Company?

Spent £10k with him at our last house. After 6 years, when we moved out, there wasn't a mark on it. His guys turned up on time, fitted it without any hassle and where the only contractors on the job who we were 100% happy with.

They came back a couple of weeks later and rechecked all of the alignments too. Over a cup of tea he told me our builder was "alright" but the electrician was an "arsehole". He wasn't wrong.

If I had the money I'd buy another one off him without any hesitation.
