Got it in 2 today in about 10 seconds, first guess got me 3 letters.
What sort of max streak is everyone on? Mine is 59 on hard mode (not really sure that makes much difference), got tripped up by ember last week. Always guess the first one in the hope of that elusive fluke! Got four letters in the right order once....

Officially 163. My current streak is 153, but I've actually succeeded 228 days in a row, but one day wasn't counted because I was travelling and couldn't sign in to my account on my laptop - I completed the puzzle but it just wasn't recorded against my account.
I think I've only got one wrong, pissed during a lockdown. But forget to do it now and again. The competition with my wife (I'm whupping her in this if nothing else) is to keep the threes ahead of the fours, and I'm now back to 68 ahead. But to keep pulling away you have to think hard about the second word. Going deliberately for the odd five would be cheating.
I’ve only missed a handful of days since I started. Just forgot to do it because something more interesting was happening. I’ve been very lucky, but I’m continually battling to get my 3s ahead of my 4s. Nearly drew level a few weeks ago.

Does anyone think there has been a run of difficult words since the new year? I went for 2 months in the autumn without getting a 5 but I’ve had half a dozen since the beginning of January. Wordlebot it seems to suggest the average score over the past two weeks is over 4 which is the highest I’ve seen.
