6kg since my last weigh in back in April.

I couldn't bare to leave out any food stuffs i.e pies, beer and ice cream. but the one thing I did ditch was takeaways, we've had a few though...who wouldn't.
The main thing was cutting portion size and only eating around meal times, unless I was very hungry, then opting for fruit ideally.
One of the reasons for cutting out takeaways was the large portion sizes.
Also gone are carb drinks, energy bars and gels other than for use in serious training or racing.

Now I don't get many hunger pangs, so I hope to ditch another 6kg by June/July.

The science really was simple.

Who'd have thought it. Good work by the way.

The only take-aways we eat nowadays are Curry, proper spicy ones.

No chance of gaining weight after one of them.

One of the things you realise is how much you kid yourself. Then there are occasions like when you're hungry after a race or some such event and you grab a burger or raid Tescos mini mart and get home to that meal the missus has cooked. Stopped all that.

THAT is a good diet tip! It's probably the only thing keeping me from being a blimp.
And this

...is also spot on. I do it after skiing too - use it as an excuse to scoff a box of licorice allsorts, extra helpings of dinner etc.

I'd never kid myself after the time I spent 6 weeks at Bikevillage,1500 road miles and 90hrs of mountainbike and was moaning at Sam that I hadn't lost any weight,it was pointed out that I'd eat breakfast pre ride, eat whilst on bike, eat when I got back and most evenings have dinner with seconds, few beers, wine what was I expecting
