Anybody on here a woodworker - either amateur or professional?

I need a series of shadow box frames made to a certain spec, and would be happy to give someone on here the work if they are able/willing to help.

I have no idea what sort of cost I would be looking at - either for materials or labour - so would appreciate having a chat with someone about it.

If its the frames for shipping those paintings theres about a tenners worth of material and 10 minutes work in each one. You'd be best tracking down someone local to where the pictures are being shipped from to do them though, otherwise you'd be paying to ship the frames twice.

Thanks maccruiskeen, but it's actually for the images once they arrive.

And thanks also for the advice yesterday. I may have found a solution.

If its for mounting the paintings themselves probably the first point of call should be a good picture framer - especially if the work is going to be glazed. Their materials and finishes will be conservation grade - if the wood or paints/varnish are giving off vapour (from solvents etc) then that vapour is going to end up trapped in with the paintings. They'll have no problem making box frames.
