Been donated a yucca trunk - some 5" diameter and about 10ft long. My google fu is weak and I can't seem to find anything beyond "it'll make good kindling".

Anyone burned any? What seasoning time? Will kittens die?

A yukka is a monocot, like a palm - no real woody trunk as such, but if you can get it dry, you can burn (or smoke) it.

Sounds like a case of CBA - might turn them into a pretty log display instead on burning them. Thanks Geoff.

If 'log display' means you were thinking of a garden feature, I suspect it would rot quite quickly.

A mate is after some short logs nailed to a bit of wood, pub stylee, to insert into his fireplace. It may suffice for that - he ain't having the eucalyptus or the pear!
