As title , looking for a new pair to use on bike now and then, mainly when im on my trainer or trundling along the beach on the fat bike 🙂 .... will sometimes only use 1 bud at a time, so need to work as a single bud as well
Have an older pair of Ankers which i liked and they have a few sets in that price bracket , any other brands to look at ?

I love my jaybird vista but they're well above budget. I have a few mates who rate the Soundpeats ones.

I can't comment on any of the more expensive options but I bought a pair of Xiaomi airdots for £20 about 12 months ago and they're been faultless so far.
I use them daily, sometimes one earbud other times the pair, battery lasts approx 3.5hrs and you can charge them a few times from their little case before that needs recharging.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ are £66 on Amazon down from £159. I guess it's because Buds 2 are out

Can't comment on quality as I don't have, was just browsing

Someone on here recommended some Blutone ones on a previous thread, not perfect but good value for money

I won a pair of the EarShots earbuds, they are the most stable I've ever used, there's no way they'll ever drop out whilst riding or running. The design allows you hear most of whats going on around you, so that's great.

The design allows you hear most of whats going on around you, to the detriment of music quality: ideal for spoken word, maybe not for you if you want big bassy soundscapes.

I’ve got a pair of Creative Outlier’s which I use for running and they’re great. Charge lasts for ages and they stay in my ears.

JLab Go Air Been well impressed with these. Got them on an offer from Curry’s for £30. Only negative I have is the charging case is open and sometimes the buds can fall out of dropped

I have the JLabs Jbuds Air, with earhooks. Just seen on sale at Argos for £50. These are £100 on Amazon. Very good battery life, closed charging case and waterproof. Sound is good too. The only issue for me the volume is not very loud and I need to use the memory foam ear tips.

MPOW M30 £26 on Amazon, had mine a year and pretty unreal for the money. Used loads for running, usually just the one ear, decent sound etc...

I picked up a pair of these at Jabra earbuds JL recently for £40. No stock left left online, but worth checking out your local store to see if they have any. They retailed at £150 when they first came out a couple of years ago and reviews at that price concluded that they were _okay_. At £40 they're about right. If you think Beats make good heaphones though, these will not be for you - they're not super heavy on the bass (although there's app you can dowload that lets you tweak the sound signature).

The advantage over the usual cheapie wireless earbuds is that the bluetooth connection's actually pretty solid. I've found on some cheap ones the BT an be a bit ropey at times (drop outs, lag...). Also FWIW I was happy enough with my Anker earbuds until Mrs RRM put them through the washing machine.

i've got some anker soundcore Life A1 earbuds that were c £50 iirc and been very impressed with them. good sound quality with 3 different sounds settings (incl increased bass if thats your thing), fit well and stay in while running at the gym, controls are nice and easy push button, connected every time and can use one bud only if required. would get another set if i lost these

I have a had 3 sets of chinese-type buds - they all failed after a short amount of time. First set - awful bluetooth range (not even to my back pocket). 2nd set - much better bluetooth, still a bit buggy. 3rd failed within 1 month. They were all Tozo of different generations.
Now have jabra 65t and they are excellent and just work and not a great deal more expensive.

I've had a set of Tozo T6 working flawlessly for the past 18 months. Got to admit your sample's bigger than mine though!

Just to say if you like strong base I’d avoid Skull Candy - bought some a while back and was so underwhelmed.

For cycling / turbo I most use Mixx Audio Ultrafit 1s. I bought them in Asda as they were cheap and I thought I’d rather risk those cycling in the rain than the skull candy headphones I’d bought. Actually I much prefer the Mixx audio ones - had them a few years and used them over and over for commuting in all weathers and getting really sweaty turbo training. They aren’t so good for running though - the neck band on them jumps about too much.

I thought I’d try Mixx Audio Streambud sports as I’d been so impressed with the ultrafits - but they’re really underwhelming so I don’t recommend those. They lack the base and depth of sound - but I will use them for the occasional run. I don’t love the fit and comfort either.

I have a set of Mpow 434s which I'm very happy with- they're a bit bulky I guess but otherwise great, and cheap.

Arghhhhhhj, the temptation was too much and I’ve now ordered a pair of these. Will keep my mixx audio headphones for cycle commuting to work in all weathers. These are for the train with work, and maybe a bit of running if they stay in ok during exercise.

After reading this I bought the Tozo T6 mentioned above. I decided to ignore my usual urge for buying the most expensive in an effort to make sure i got a decent product but was dubious of the £28 price tag with a discount on Amazon. First listen with some Sam Fender suggests I made the right choice. Could do with a bit more bass for my taste but really pleased overall and the first in ear buds that have stayed in for me.

I bought the Anker Liberty 2 Pro Soundcore on a whim at @grums recommendation this week. Amazing bit of kit for the money (£50). Tight fit, lots of choice for buds and stuff. I think I could ride in them they fit that well. Proper lovely quality little rechargeable case. Soundwise I am sure there are better, but I'm getting loads of bass in a "as good as my proper cans" way I cannot see why you'd spend more. I've never spent more than £80 on earphones before, so most definitely not a hi fi boffin but these feel as good as any I've owned. Feels really quality package, great sound. Could not be happier. Thanks for the amazing recommendation.

Seeing as the headphone gurus are here perhaps someone can recommend something for teams/zoom/Skype in the office

At home I don’t use a headset at all but now we’re going back to the office a bit I need something comfortable with a good microphone and a solid wireless connection. I’ve got a set of Bose QC35 cans for music but even with the noise cancellation off, I find not being able to hear my own voice quite disconcerting - I also don’t like noise cancelling in general when I’m in the office - it gives me the fear

So I think what I need is a pair of buds where I can chose to use one or two ears - don’t want to not spend enough and end up with something rubbish, but at the same time don’t want to pay for features I don’t need

Windows laptop if that makes a difference
