Somewhere in Dorset (not sure where) a 'Christmas winter wonderland' had to be closed due to the unforeseen 'real' snow and ice this weekend.

Last January in -7 conditions mr bunnhop had a go on one of those 4x4 courses, sponsored by Landrover. It was outside the 'chill factore' in Manchester. Part of the course was an ice pan. They scraped away all the real ice from the carpark, put down a massive sheet, which was sprayed with water, left to freeze. For health and safety they couldn't use the slippery 'real' ice, silly.

Any more sillyness.

Well not really silly, but it's made it really easy to defrost the freezer. I just put all the food outside for a few hours.

We were at a party on saturday, and left the beer and ales in the back garden to chill down...
Big mistake- at minus 7, by 2 am the canned stuff had turned in to beer lollies! Amazingly the bottles were liquid, still?

Glass has better insulating properties than a beer can?

All our Christmas fruit & veg has been ruined, it was in boxes in the garage but still froze
Never had that before & we've been here 22 years
