What I want is the ability to connect to my home network and have 'My Documents' etc sync with my documents on the home server. My router supports VPN so it's ok from a network point of view (although it'll be a bit slow since my upload speed isn't great), but how to get the syncing going? I could create a network drive and reassign My Documents to it but that would mandate a network connection to work - I want to be able to work locally and then have it sync up when you connect.

You know what, I should google better before posting on here. SyncToy does what I need too.

(The reason I didn't google was that at first I couldn't think of what to google for.. 🙂 )
