I dont post on the darkside that often because they can be all technical and sometimes even snappier than you lot if you mention something slightly out of turn! But will the post count on here ever overtake the other lot? Which came first the bike forum? Or did they both start at the same time??

Overview for me too - I like it all lumped into one.

I wish there was an overview option for the classifieds too.

Is most of the popular bike stuff not like huge VPP threads or daft jeadset ones rather that true quality you get here.

In the good ol' days there was "the forum" and the classifieds, and th "coffee room" (or something) that no-one really used. "The forum" got very full with OT (Off Topic) posts, and lo, the coffee room was rebranded as the chat forum.

The counters were reset at the same time - possibly in the great EvilZone hacking incident - or possibly later. Or not. I didn't keep a diary about it.

I'm pretty sure they started at the same time - when the new forum software was implemented,

^ No - it was on the old site. Suddenly there was an extra tab. And uproar.

Then teh new site came along with the overview function, and all was calm, all was bright.

average of 12 posts per topic in the bike forum and 19 per topic in the chat forum.

That's because over there < it's all dumbarse 8/9/10spd compatibility questions answered in one post and over there > its political/child protection/flaming ostriches ding dongs.

It's better over there >
