Because there's a lot of very very optimistic hippies.
Speaking as a (now shorn) hippy, it's guff... But then I never really liked it with long hair on, either. Sorry.
It's rubbish (IMO)
Meh. Mawkish, overly sentimental and twee. Neither Lennon nor McCartney are as good solo as they are together, my favourite ex-Beatle songs are Ringo's, [i]It Don't Come Easy[/i] is a terrific song, I've loved it from when it was released, and quite a few of his others as well.
Not as good as the Frog Chorus.
I can't see it, but I'm guessing it's Imagine.
Dreadful.
Not a patch on Yer Blues or I'm So Tired.

Ringo is def my favourite Beatle (because he was the funniest) but I never knew his solo stuff was any good. Just listened to 'It Don't Come Easy', I surprised how good it was 🙂

'Tis, innit! He's a good musician, is Ringo; nothing too flashy in his drumming, but keeps the beat, and is exactly the right drummer for the band. But then he does something like Tomorrow Never Knows...
I can't imagine either Lennon or McCartney coming up with that on their own.
