Let's just say it's on in the back ground gotta be honest never watched it before it's not really my cup of tea but it's for a good cause so on it stays.

Is the singletrack hive to cool to be watching it ?

Watched a little here but moved on to Face Off. We try and do plenty of donating through the year to various causes so don't feel obligated to watch bad telly!

I, as a caring person who actually hates kids (must be a word for that) but feels sorry for 'children in need', am currently watching Minnesota Wild V New Jersey Devils.

So no.

No, it's depressingly cringeworthy.

Just turned over as can't stand Eastenders in any form. Otherwise it's background to surfing web, doing a bit of Facebook and reading a magazine.

watch and support it every year.....you never know when your life is gonna change for the worse, and you may need some of the charities.

No, I have a bit of a problem with a charity asking for money ever year when they have £90 million in the bank!

It's a noble cause but bloody hell that's not just a few quid left over!!

**** it - we're not all lucky, suffering can happen to any of us. I'd like to think one of you would help me if one of my kids was beyond help.

Just donated. Again.

Nope.
Paul on in the background.
Strange though,as I was just showing my son an old card that I found at work today( we were moving Labs).
It was stuck down the back of a cupboard.
Not one of mine ,and had been there for a while.
It had the cartoon of Daleks at the bottom of a flight of stairs " Well this buggers our plans to conquer the Universe" Hilarious ,then inside..

To my Big brother.
I hope you know how much it means to me having you in my life.
It is infinitely better, it changes everything.
It means (having you around means) I never am ,and never feel alone.
I love you entirely.
Your little brother
Andy

Way to go Andy (whoever you are)

Some times the best gestures cost very little.
I hope the ones that need it the most find an Andy.

Don't need to watch to support.
Monthly DD supporting a worthwhile children's cause.
Done a few yrs volunteering with special needs and helped start a swimming club 😆
Conscience clear as I approach senior yrs. 😉

It's not about conscience though surely? We give because we think it is, in the end, worthwhile. We don't give to avoid feeling guilty .

Our kids raised money last year with a sponsored cycle, they wanted to do something different this year so last weekend they did a sponsored ski at Snow Factor in glasgow, story at the link below. As others have said hope we never have to use the services that are supported but thankful if we do they are there.

Been watching the Rickshaw Challenge, amazed what a few miles pedalling has done for Matthew and his confidence. Love that Challenge. Matt Baker does this stuff really well. I know he has taken a bit of a bashing on here in the past but fair play to the guy. Mrs Inbred is a speech therapist that uses the eye gaze communication aid. Costs more like 13k for one with speech software but makes a massive difference to the kids lives. Well done BBC.

Misopedia is probably a bit OTT Project. My 2 are awesome now (27 & 31 yr old so not 'kids') & I've never hated them.
Other peoples however, I have no time for. At all. (I've even warned my youngest that if he ever has a kid, don't ask me to babysit)

Good for you, being able to not care about children without too much help. It must help you sleep easily.

Moral dilemma time...

Ref Chris Evans' R2 show, whilst I admire the philanthropy, who the **** has the odd £80k - £100k kicking about that they can afford to spend on a days jolly? Lots of peopleby the looks of things, which I find a little disturbing, yet also glad there is an outlet like Children in Need where their wealth can be liberated for good causes and their ego's massaged at the same time.

If I were a government minister working in the treasury, I'd be thinking that after a totaliser of £32.6m on the night, I could turn the screws a little more as there is still plenty of free and available cash in the economy and obviously, the financial cuts are not yet causing enough pain and discomfort for the masses.

Happy Christmas.

I went on an 8.5hr night ride yesterday, having not planned to miss both Children in Need and the Scotland game. Double win!
