When insulting your colleagues after a stupid phone call make sure the phone has ended the call and not switched to speaker phone.
Shouting 'Stupid ****in ** *! * * halfwits' at the phone after you think you have hung up and then hearing the people at the other end say 'Pardon?' is a bit disconcerting.
trick is to hang up immediately and if later quizzed suggest there was somethign happenign they couldn;t see that you were shouting about.
any form of acknowledgement that it might have been directed at them or continuing to bluster into the phone is fatal.
So saying 'Well at least you know what I really think of you all' wasn't the correct approach?

the correct approach is to launch into a series of "zany" accents (chinese takeaway/ laundry, emergency services, dog grooming parlour) to give the imptression that they have a crossed line
Just tell them that you were also reading STW while 'phoning them.
They'll understand.
