How many of you blogg on a regular basis?
What is the your main reason for blogging?
Go on then... I'm doing the Welsh Coast to Coast for charity next year so it's a platform for harping on about it and begging for sponsorship...
I'm raising money for the Cots for Tots appeal which is part of the bigger Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal. The campaign is to raise a million for the Neo natal intensive care unit which basically has to serve the whole of the south west including south wales, performing incredible life saving operations and care. My cousin and an old school friend have both had premature babies on that ward since I started fundraising, scary!

I like to blog wish I did it more, enjoy writing about things I have knowledge about and have experienced and likewise enjoy reading about things other people have knowledge about - http://plasticaviators.co.uk if anyone's interested.
Me. Got a whole month of touring pix and words to upload but i struggle to sit in front of the laptop at night after spending all day looking at one.

Me.
I have always been in the habit of keeping a personal diary on some of my longer trips. I've posted a few such "trip reports" on here and had generally good feedback. The blog is just a way for me to keep them in one place, to look back on and to let myself and others refer to.
I started doing some more current stuff as a way of keeping it alive between trips.

It's nice to think that some folk might find it useful/entertaining.
In general, I prefer blogs to the sort of stuff we regularly see printed in magazines (including, but not restricted to, STW).
I got on to Twitter when I started the blog, as a way of doing ad hoc updates whilst out and about, but I don't "get" Twitter in the way that I do, say, Facebook.

I am thinking about starting my blog, reason being its coming to the end of a very busy year.
....and I have been thinking about all the trips & rides I have had this year and I think it would have been nice to have logged all these down in some format, so for next year a blog will do just that....
Heh, wondered if you were the same bencooper... I remember the name from 28dl.
Yeah, I really should use different aliases but I can't be bothered 🙂
I do, a bit, mainly down to wanting to write a website a few years ago to see if I could and because a number of like minded mates do trips and it was a way of advising them of changes and putting photos up.
It has moved on from there, I don't bother writing the website now and moved over to wordpress, I suspect my content gets monotonous and has in jokes but once we have done a ride or trip some of the people who joined us seem to enjoy the comments so I keep doing it.
Within me, I have a pregnancy or words and ideas that want to burst out.
Somehow, most of them seem to self-destruct before they get out (probably a good thing), so I only update my posterous blog (think it's linked in my profile) very rarely.
There have been a few things on my mind lately, but I seem not to have devoted the time to 'writing them out'.
EDIT: I'd probably produce more if I didn't rely on my blackberry for so much of my non-work time online stuff. It's not very browsing, etc. friendly.
Was it really only a month ago that I asked the very same question? Seems like ages!
Here's my blog:

I expect if you read any of it you'll fall asleep though, I've not been doing anything all that exciting! (I like to think there's the odd interesting post in there though...)
