We need a new 6-person tent. There's just the two of us + dog(s) but I'm tall and like to spread out in a '4-person' space. We want the extra '2-person' space for kit, dog(s), etc, leaving the living room clear to sit and move around in.
What makes are best? Coleman? Gelert? Vango?
Any recommendations?

Not worth looking anywhare else than Vango IMHO, Outwell seem good for the money too.

Please don't buy Gelert. Their water bottles leak, airbeds, water transporters, you name it, we've bought it and it's leaked in some way.
Agree with Outwell. If you're not bothered about this seasons model, there are outlets like [url= http://www.winfieldsmegastore.com/ ]Winfields[/url] where tents are sold from previous seasons at discounts. Not for a second suggesting you're a cheapskate but lots of people not aware of such places.
Vangos are superb - just got a 4 man (so not quite big enough) Equinox 450 and it's utterly brilliant. Easy to put up, storm proof and light. Under £300 but you'll need a size or two up I guess?
