Epson px650 is one I'd recommend. Its got 1200dpi scanning, and the printing inks have a 200year life, which is perfect for quality photo printing. It's advertised at £129, but if you google around I've seen it for £110. I don't have a printer at the mo', but this is almost certainly the one I'm buying, or the wifi equivalent; probably this model.

I've just got a Canon MP560, £106 from Amazon, wireless too and quite easy to set up. So far i'm impressed.

In my opinion for quality Canon would win although Epson aren't far off.

MP560 is a great machine but if you don't need the scanner/copier have a look at the IP4700. I think you can get it for around £90 on Amazon.

Just bought an Epson Stylus SX515W. Prints some super pictures. And it's bluetooth.

Got the Pixma 4600 and its excellent, fast too

Daresay the aforementioned 4700 is pretty decent too

Only downside is they keep primimg the heads with ink when you turn on and off, just leave mine switched on to avoid wastage

If cost is an issue check out cartridge prices too, unless you are ok using non-manufacturer replacements. Epson replacements for my R800 are hideously expensive.
