Seen all three and would watch Gran Torino again.
The Men Who Stare At Goats was OK, not great but an entertaining watch.
Inception was bobbins - a good idea wasted.

Gran Torino - Great film but a tad slow.
Inception - Really enjoyed this at the cinema. If you like Donnie Darko it's worth a go.
Men Who Stare At Goats - Utter toss

Inception was I thought, fantastic. I'd give it 8/10. It might be one for the cinema, not the home though.

The "action" scenes, whilst a bit naff, actually gave me thinking time to work out all the other stuff going on.

Men who stare at goats got recent reviews, but I found it unwatachably tedious. And I like George Clooney and that Obi Wan fella.

Men Who Stare at Goats was utter drivvle

Inception - never seen it, can't comment (but it looks too deep for my little brain).

We bought GT based on reviews. I turned it off after the gang run in bit. Mrshora had already wandered out to wash up and wander around and I had been dvd-clock/timer watching....

Gran Torino - excellent
MWSAG - good and entertaining but wouldn't bother watching it again.
Inception - phenomenal 10/10 but could be better in cinema than at home, anyone who thinks it is rubbish clearly just didnt' understand it!! IMO.

I didn't like inception but I'm confident I understood it all. I think it was an interesting concept but it relied too heavily on that. I just didn't find the story interesting and the twist as the end could be seen from a mile away in a 6th sense style.

Inception, as clever as it is, is just another one of those films that come out every now and again that pretend to be mind blowing and intelligent etc, like Matrix, and are all flash FX sequences, but are really just manipulative pap with rubbish dialogue, plot, ideas deep down and leave you feeling unfulfilled. At least something like Starship Troopers has it's tongue in its cheek and knows itself to be b-movieish. I thought District 9 was twice the film Inception was. But that's me.

Agree. District9 is class.

Inception is $$$ with a ok premise. Everyone who loves the likes of Matrix is waiting and hoping for something big again. Inception was flacid. Sorry!

Same with Rec. I hoped it would be great but it was flat.

kimbers, my sound card doesn't work, so that trailer looks like a serious, dark version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail! Bring out yer dead!

Valhalla rising was utter garbage... well up until the boat bit was (exlcuding his initial escape) I was so bored I never saw them get off that boat.

Ah you've got to love people 🙂

Inception - enjoyed. Some flaws but if you don't take it (or yourself) too seriously then you can live with that.

Goats - silly/bizarre but both my wife and I really liked

Gran Torino - not seen it yet despite having it on DVD for about 6 months now. Really think I'll like it.
