I'm trying to get the missus a wetsuit as a surprise present. I think an Orca S6 is what she needs, seeing as that's the one she rents when she's out swimming. I'm wondering if there's anywhere like bike-discount.de where I can get one for a decent price, or if Wiggle at around £135 is the best place to get it.

She's not averse to 2nd hand, so if you've got one in a medium in decent condition then please let me know if you're looking to sell!

I got mine (Gul, it's fine) from what used to be Brookbank Canoes in Perth. Try googling sailing/canoeing shops near you.

I have had an o'neill psycho 5/3 winter steamer suit for years ,it's lasted really well with wake boarding & superjet use. No good for peeing in though as it keeps you pretty dry 🙂

Have you looked on www.wetsuitwarehouse.co.uk ?

Lomo wetsuits are nice. Maybe better value than some of the big brands. Most of their stuff is for kayaking or sailing, but they do have a few swimming/triathlon wetsuits.

It's worth checking out the wetsuit hire websites as they often sell wetsuits used for 1 or 2 hires at a good price. It is probably a good idea to stick with Orca though so that you know that it fits.

Might be a good idea to order a stick of Body glide as well.

Takes all sorts eh?

Thanks for the link to the previous threads. Really helpful. I found it for a tenner less through one of the links in there.

Maybe I've misinterpreted what she meant when she said she'd like to try water sports?

If you say it repeatedly you can't tell the difference!
