Hi,

I need to do some reading on FEA/FEM and I've been recommended some texts (link1, link2, link3 and link4). Is there any online shop where i could find these at a significantly cheaper price...?

I'd try Oxfam, but Won't be back in the UK until November.

Thanks for any help,
Cheers,
Rich

Concepts and Applications is an excellent book, as is the Ted Belytschko one. I don't have the others so couldn't comment. I doubt you'll find the first two cheap/ 2nd hand, but try abebooks or the book depository.

Can I ask do you have a good grasp of continuum mechanics and elasticity theory? Because if you don't you might find those two hard going.

I can recc some others, email in profile.

Best bet is to find some graduates in the field, when I left the PHD students were selling books on to the new first years.
