I don't particularly fancy another Glasgow hogmanay, so has anyone gone anywhere for new year that was a bit interesting and reasonably warm? I'm thinking Sharm El Sheikh or Marakesh at the moment.

2009/10.

I'm going with my wife, so I always have excellent company (she probably won't read this, but you never know).

And yes, yes it is.

I've always fancied new year at the Old Forge in Inverie!

Would have great trouble convincing anyone to go with me though

Somewhere in the Alps may be nice.

Two children under 4, I'm lucky to even see Hogmanay these days!

Morocco - biking and surfing (rapture surf camps - RECOMMENDED)
Exodus - Atlas trip (good routes but distinctly pricey)

Days - hot, nights not so, rather pleasant distinct lack of xmas decorations and church crap.

I;ve been away for the last 7 NYE's. Back to Prague this year as its probably the best, don't bother with bars/clubs - its all about getting bottles of champagne and fireworks and hanging around old towen sqaure / charles bridge. THousands of people from all over hanging out and having fun, brilliant atmosphere...highly recommended 😀
