need some flexible clutch hose, its 3.5mm ID, 7.5mm OD, and contains DOT4/DOT5.1 AFAIK its not reinforced.

Any ideas, halfords dont do it, partco dont do it, I'm lost 🙁

Unfortunately its an aftermarket bodge so going back to the manufacturer is costly (£60, 1 copper section, 2 braided hoses).

Its probably the same red hose thats fitted to early lotus elise.

Anyone who makes up brake lines for rally cars. Rally designs or DemonTweeks?

Automec ( http://www.automec.co.uk/frame_set.html) do rubber or ptfe with stainless overbraid - they deliver quick as well.

or try local hydraulic supplier like pirtek etc

Its not stainless braided or anything fancy, if it was this would be easy, just unscrew the fitting at each end, its just bog standard, un reinforced, plastic/silicone/rubber hose, just cant find anywhere that sells the stuff!

Everywhere wants to sell high performance braided hoses with lightweight dooda and added phwwoooaaaaaaa for £40-£60, I just want the bog standard plastic stuff for a fiver!

this is not a spoon...

see my post automec do RUBBER (i.e. plain hose) give them a buzz

also if you have a proper motorfactor near you then many will carry this hose on the roll..

what car is it for?

How long does it need to be?

Do you need fittings?

no fittings needed, its a 1975 mg midget, but thats irrelavent as its not the original setup. The original used various bits of copper pipe and flexible hoses, its all been replaced witha stub of copper pipe at one end and a barbed fitting at the other that the hose just pushes onto.

Will look at automec tonight, cant see their website from work which is a PITA.

Got a friend whos gone off for a dig in his works store room to see if theres anything suitable so hopefully that'll turn up trumps.

ebay is also full of random clutch hoses - perhaps you could butcher one.. i.e. cut the unions off

also if you have a pirtek, hose doctor etc near you they should have something suitable off the roll.. they might even have a bit for free
