We had it so that clicking on a members name in the forum provided a hotlink (I had mine set up for email address). It seems to have been borked?

don't you just click 'member' next to the name and it does the same thing?

Nope. That link takes you to the profile page, but clicking on the name would link to anything in the "website" field which could be either an http link or a mailto: link
