One of my minions has got Spotify on in the background, and this came on:

The chorus is reminding me of another song, but I can't quite place it. I've got snippets of lyrics: something something something, when love becomes a lie, in to deep to hide behind something something. Is this ringing any bells with anyone?

It's a bit Killers in places, the chorus is straight Daniel Powter - Bad Day, but otherwise generic landfill indie.

Straight Daniel Powter? It's hardly straight, it shares some chords and rhythms, that's all.

Sounds a bit like Band of Horses - The Funeral but i think your lyrics might be Skid Row - In A Darkened Room
