Say you have a sound argument that is definitely correct, but you cannot possibly win this argument due to the weight of pressure against your position. What's the word that describes it?
Untenable - has a definition of "(esp. of a position or view) Not able to be maintained or defended against attack or objection: "this argument is clearly untenable"." which seems to imply that the arguement is incorrect.
"Married"
Laffs at samurai... 😆
Unpopular..?
Yep samuri has got it!
Are you the only one in your office who doesn't read the Daily Wail. When that was me I just gave up - Yeah fine, spanish pigmy lesbians are coming to steal your babies... what ever. Can you pass me the stapler?
Submission?
Shirley it would make more sense to define the opposition as being (seemingly) insurmountable or, better still, to draw attention to, and try to remove, the resistance, which is a separate discussion. You're on a hiding to nothing otherwise. It's often wiser to just not engage in situations like this - depending on context, of course.
Thatcherism
I find the phrase 'if I agree with you then we'll both be wrong!" works well.
Righteous indignation. More a description of you than your argument but it captures the spirit.
Downtrodden may also fit. (see "married" above).
Irreconcileable
You are George Galloway and I claim my Iraqi oil revenues 😉
I enjoy the phrase:
"You're right, but do you know who's also right? Me..."
And launch into your argument. If you think they're looking likely to draw breath for some counter at the end, then finish with "sack of cocks"
