I haven't had a cold for years, the odd snotty nose but nothing that knocks me sideways.
For the second time in a month I have the most violent snot producing nose, a throat that feels like I'm swallowing glass and I feel knackered.
Both times it has happened after a relatively hard, longish ride and I'm not riding that much so not overtraining (as if I'm training for anything).
What on earth is going on anonymous web doctors?

Same here. As a bonus, I'm sleeping SO well as I'm (hopefully) coming out the other side and the symptoms have subsided apart from undue fatigue.

Could be as there is a lot of sneezing, but this is a sore throat & lots of snot coming up back of the throat.
No riding tonight. 🙁

The symptoms of hay fever include:

frequent sneezing.
runny or blocked nose.
itchy, red or watery eyes (allergic conjunctivitis)
an itchy throat, mouth, nose and ears.
cough, caused by postnasal drip (mucus dripping down the throat from the back of the nose)

Aldi/Tesco own brand Hay fever tablets about £1 - worth a try.

Is hayfever likely to come in rather violent short bursts?
I was knocked about a couple of weeks ago after waking up with a sore throat that turned into a cold like illness. Today all three symptoms have ganged up me at once.
Not convinced it's hayfever, but am listening.
If it is what the hell can I do as it's rather inconvenient?
