If when they bang the dustbin lid to wake you up ,you say you’d rather stay in bed.

Obviously people would shout at you , then louder people would shout at you and eventually you’d go on a charge and end up in prison. No doubt in prison they would bang the dustbin lid once more and again you say that you’d rather stay in bed.

Would they sentence you to longer and longer in prison ?

Could you end up serving a life sentence for just wanting a lay in?

I suppose if you're a particularly slow learner, then perhaps you could.

Serious Q here but are you feeling ok?

I've noticed you creating rambling nonsensical threads and posts when I get a chance to come online.

Waste of valuable interweb time imo

You would find yourself under administrative action and discharged from the Army.

You probably wouldn't get as far as prison for that sort of offence.

Its lack of sleep, due to clanging dustbin lids.  Drives a man mad.

In the old days they would shout, drag you out of bed, you'd get a beasting, the other blokes would get round you and you'd end up in jail if it continued. You'd lose your time off and wages, if charged.

Today you'd get administrative action, education, maybe a punishment in line with the failing and if it continued major administrative action, probably culminating in discharge after about 6 months as you wouldn't be fit for service life.

Well, that's destroyed a few illusions of army life based on my extensive movie collection I can tell you.

They bang a dustbin lid. I thought it would somehow be.... more.

The answer is not to join the army, what you want is to be a pilot on one of our aircraft carriers, can spend all * day in bed and no one's going to give a shit.

* - word missing as a preview showed the swear filter to be in a similar condition to said aircraft carriers.

a mate if mine did basically that years ago when we were in. He just refused to soldier as they called it. He was sent to camp nick and thought that if he kept it up for 28 days he be discharged but he was and we were asked why he was doing it and it was to get out without doing his years notice,  so the oc gave him 28 days jail and soldier on he then tried again and went to Colchester for a while again not kicked out. He then got involved with drugs and got the discharge he wanted but Unfortunately he ended up being killed In Germany
