here is an abridged version of this morning's conversation.

Her: are you going to tidy up before your friends come round tonight?
Me: Tidy up what?
Her: All my clothes
Me: But the're your clothes!
Her: yes, but they are your friends!

how do you come back from that?

Highly frustrating

Depends. If neither you nor your freinds care about her clothes kicing about, it is a non problem.

If she cares about her smalls being on display while your friends are there, that is her problem 🙂

Tidy them into a black bag and put them out of view. When she wants something they will maybe smell and be creased. Worked for me. She does her own clothes now.

Have your friends play 'dress up' with her clothes this evening?

Yes, but you know how the conversation's going to run when it's her friends and your clothes, don't you.

I'd tidy her clothes up, do the pots, give her a massage and foot rub and then not have my friends round cos she wants some time with me.

But then I'm a wet flannel.

Although - if it's normally ok to leave clothes around, and then you change the situation by inviting friends around, you've created the extra work - so why should she do it?

We have that: any crap on my side of the room gets flung around, she has a chair which is just another extension of her wardrobe, along with the bannister rail, etc etc etc.

Tidy them up, wipe them around the toilet bowl rim after you do.

Your partner leaves her clothes all over the living areas of your house? Not just down by her side of the bed/around the wardrobe/even the bedroom?

do what kimbers says...and buy some red socks and stick them in there too.

Either that or tell your mates to meet you at the airport instead and fly to Prague or Amsterdam for the weekend while the misses sits in her own filth.

The only rational response is to post naked pictures of her on your favourite MTB site.

I'm astonished at how many have suggested violence as an answer - is this Sociopath Central?

the ones who are suggesting violence are most likely 39 year old virgins still living with their Mum.

Cartoon fail.

If you're going to be a smartarse, at least know the difference between disinterested and uninterested.

Some people have no sense of humour! In the words of my OH:

"Women, they've taken this feminism thing too far, that poor bloke... I bet he can't win."

You: Yes, but you're the one who actually gives a toss.

My friends would find it extremely amusing if Mrs nacho's clothes were left around, she would only do it the once I am sure after the ribbing she would get when they next saw her

I'd do the same my wife does when she wants to tidy my clothes - randomly fold them up and put them in the wardrobe (read screw them up and through them in).

Means I pay more attention to doing it myself in the future.

Kimbers answer is best and I see little humour in suggesting you beat your partner. A shockingly high level of [mainly] women have to live with this.

The trouble with forum humour, is that you always get one pious fool who's too far up on his high horse to spot the humour.

As for the OP, might I suggest pepper in said smalls?

No I spotted the humour - there is a clue in the bit where I call it humour 🙄 -- and you called me a fool 😯
See you and kimbers and other were able to make jokes without suggesting beating her ...not that hard is it?

We have a different sense of humour do we need to discuss it for ages?
No matter what I post you will give an antagonistic repsonse. Find someone else to argue with I have better things to do today
Happy trails

Good grief, what a bunch of pussy's. Why spend your valuable life with someone who has absolutely no respect for herself or you..? Bin her clothes and then bin the bitch. Tell your mates that there's a change of plans as you're now going out on the pull.

No, just wondered why you needed to post your sanctimonious post in the first place.

Anyway, as you were...

I was going to suggest the 'stuff them in a bag' answer but by the sounds of it you'd only been made to get them out and iron them after she had decided it was time for your friends to leave.

Gosh, You lot really are lovely gentlemen aren't you. Clothes left about = beating. I might just post a link to this thread to mumsnet. You'd be for it then. 🙄

ummm, I dont wear clothes so dont have that problem??

Actually, I learnt the hard way. I left my underwear drying once years ago, fella came home with mates late and use a whole camera film taking pictures of him and mates wearing my thongs while I was fast asleep. I tidy them up now.

Ok meant they may be meant in humour but please remember there's female members who use this forum too, a few members have expressed the tastelessness in the 'violence' comments. Keep that humour for your mates down the pub if you must use it. No need for it on a public forum.

From experience this appears to be a 'looking for an argument', type thing.

I deduce you've previously had guests around and expected her to clean up before hand.
This would likely to of included your things as well as hers.

From the OP, is it true then to say, there are none of your things lying about? If that is the case, who tidied them away?

If you did it, then why not hers to?

It would appear then she feels the relationship is a little one sided and feels you may need to do a bit more around the house.
She is using the fact your mates are coming round to a potentially untidy house, as a 'you'll be having fun tonight, whilst i'm doing house work' statement of being pissed off at you.

Surprised she's not the one getting violent with you(from
experience)
