Dropping no 1 son off at glasgow barrowlands to go to a gig. What can I do for 3-4 hrs nearby?

(awaits the usual answers)

Any reasonable coffee places nearby or just load up the ipad and catch a film or 2?

I wouldn't hang about round that area!

13th note is good (King Street).
Might be something on at the Tron theatre?

Its an interesting area around the barras. Not overly dodgy but there will be plenty of characters.

If its a Tuesday night, I highly recommend

The above is 2 mins from Barrowlands. There is a full show 7-8pm on Thursday. It's good. Afterwards, take a stroll up to Bar 91 on Candleriggs and savour a pint of the draft West St Mungo.

Celtic Connections opening concert is on that night. I went 2 years ago and it was superb.

** Edit, just checked and it's all sold out, maybe scout about there for someone selling their tickets on the door?

I'm sure someone from GMBC would meet for a wee ride at the new trail at Cathkin? I'd meet you, but I'm backshift ๐Ÿ™

Not very - mostly wooden weapons. Though I did almost get myself an eye last month ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's in Hillington, though, probably a bit far for you...

Aw someone beat me with Sharmanka! You get the full show on a Thursday evening. Please support them they need a new house! Amazing thoughtful, humourous kinetic sculptures, built by Eduard. He Had to leave russia as his art was not "approved" and his pals were slowly being sent to jail.
