[Closed] What to do for 3 - 4hrs in Brum ( near O2 academy)

How old are they? Birmingham Museum, and the library are about 10 minutes walk away from the academy.

Shopping and food in the Mailbox/Brindley Place.

They're 17 and I'll be there from about 6pm onwards tonight..

Sorry, I've just realised it's you looking for time to kill, not the kids. Museum will be a no-go at that time.

I'd probably sit in a pub in the Mailbox with a laptop.

4hrs in a pub unable to drink as im driving...

You're in the city centre so head down to the bullring for a bit of a wander around the shops, grab some food and then have a wander back.

Plenty of nice sit down restaurants that will waste an hour or so serving you a 3 course meal.

Go and see a film at the Electric?

I'd just go for a curry.

The deal was (when we were the 15 yr olds getting lifts from parents to gigs) is that we paid for their curry whilst they waited.

take a bike and have a night ride down the canal!

Another vote for cinema and get something to eat. Four hours is a long time to spend wandering the streets, particularly when you can't drink!

If it's any use the band are due on at 9.00 so you've probably got until a bit after 10.00 to wait.

Just on my way home from watching it at the Electric. Great venue. Great film. From there you could go across into the New Street Station Grand Central mall for something to eat. Otherwise there is a great independent coffee shop open late near the cinema called Cherry Reds.

Ended up at a 24hr Tesco. Let's see if they got a Costa machine..
