As above really. I'm looking for recommendations for free (of fairly cheap) software to backup some audio CDs using windows 7. I don't seem to have a Roxio license any more.
Dare I say iTunes, with it set to encode to Apple Lossless?
That way, you can re-burn the Cs as many times as you like in the future.

Can't you just rip them using Windows Media Player (or am I missing something)?
I'm not sure what option Windows Media Player has - is there an option to create lossless copies??
If so - That's as good as iTunes
You can rip to a lossless WAV file.
I don't want to rip to a lossy format, more just take an exact disc to disc copy, so I've got a second copy of exactly the same thing.
Toast. Or iTunes, as you then have all the track info and can use individual tracks on a wide variety of portable music players and mobile phones.
