Need to purchase said snowchains for car journey end of Feb to the Alps. Have 4x4 estate but still need them as I think it's statutory? Some on Fleabay are around the £35.00, which look fine. Others cost twice that. Presume as they'll live in the boot for 50 weeks of the year, little point in paying over the odds. I take it the cheaper variety are ok?

If you actually need them? Ones that are easy to put on in the dark, at the side of the road, with frozen hands. ...
