Need some velco, both the hoop and loop, 25ish mm wide and ideally self adhesive, although not imperative.

Know its readily available on the net, ebay etc but could so with it this weekend for some diy.

What kind of shop in town would sell it?

Ta.

A DIY shed, normally on the shelf with the glues etc.

Diy shops, maybe a general hardware shop like Wilkos or a haberdasher.

Sewing/fabric/knitting/crafts type shop.

Stop any old lady in the street and ask them where such a store is located.

Try a local market and look for a fabric stall? Or some where that does a clothes repair/alteration service.

Haberdashery type places. They had a ton of different types in Hobbycraft when I was in there last.

I have a reel 7mm wide, I use strips of it to retain rucksack straps and keep 2 inner tubes underneath the saddle of my road bike. Top stuff

Dunelm do, bought some myself, or try the range/hobby craft if near by.

all the supermarkets sell it, sold as hook and loop tape rather than 'velcro'

Craft shops. There's a place near me that does it, Hobbycraft, that's its name.

Halfords also sell it (for sticking number plates on). They have a variety of sizes from memory.

Try point north fabrics. Wife swears by them. Sell all sorts of stuff.

naffrider - where are you based?
I can sell you some (have both in stock) if you're near Stockport or Hyde.

In Bratford, so shouldn't have a issue in finding a fabric shop 🙂

Bonds fabric shop, bottom of main street, Farsley, opposite the war memorial.
Or The Shuttle, Otley Road, Shipley, just past The Noble Comb & Ellis Briggs bike shop. limited parking though
