Apart from the fairly common (I imagine) cars/bikes/tech/music/movies channels I subscribe to I really enjoy a channel called Scholagladiatoria which despite sounding a bit like something for people who like movies about gladiators, is mainly about medieval to Victorian era swords and fencing.

I have no real interest in HEMA but host Matt Easton is a world of knowledge and enthusiastic, and seems to be politely, yet firmly combating ignorance and nonsense online (on the subject of swords at least).

Does anyone else have any odd or niche channels they subscribe to?

Meades Shrine

One of my heroes, and the only place you can watch most of his back catalogue save for a handful of episodes available on a DVD. Whoever runs Meades Shrine channel is a legend for getting hold of recordings and curating them.

TheBrick: you appear to be me!

I watch all those guys. AvE is particularly funny. The guy is clearly incredibly clever yet very down to earth and has a wicked sense of humour.

If you like them you may also enjoy
Matthias Wandel - woodworker but a much more precision engineering approach to it
Izzy Swan - another woodworker but very practical
afrotechmods - electronics and magic smoke liberation
The Ben Heck Show - lots of electronics and making

Also see I Like To Make Stuff, Make, DIY Perks, Steve Ramsey

Edit: just spotted you already had Matthias on your list. Told you, you are me!

Tractorspotter

Some guy who lives in Holland or Belgium who films a lot of tractors and other agricultural machinery. If you can plant it or harvest it those craaaazy dutchmen have a machine that can do it.

My 4 year old loves the channel.

unusual? none that I can think of.

niche?
well apart from GCN and GMBN, it would be HAK5, Ben Heck Show (very occasionally), Flite Test, Photonicinduction (ace if you like bloiwing stuff up with kilovolts), but surprisingly no rocketry channels.

@Grahams. Ha! You here them all mention each other chanels a lot. I think its a common geek subsciption list. I think I'm subscribed to most of the others you mention too but they are lower down my list. I'm subed not to Steve Ramsey though, his constant chuckle make me mad.

I like Steve Ramsey because they are projects that I could realistically attempt with my limited skills and lack of huge workshop with ten different saws, routers and lathes.

But yeah, I think his channel has gone downhill a little as it became more commercial and forced.
His older videos (back when he still has a beard) are better IMO, if a bit less professional.

think I've watched every single numberphile and periodic videos in a massive youtube session. watched most/many computerphiles.

the klein bottle vids that just came out over the last few days are brilliant.

also subbed to Motherboard, but that's mainly cos I feature in one of their vids.

Ave is great to watch, whatever he says it's either clever or amusing.

SV Seeker for some mad origami boat building.

Colin Furze for general craziness... Wall of death is a highlight.

Waterprioryestate for some large scale tractor/farming.

And of course,
SimonsCat

Do enjoy project binky too, lucky engineering or complete madness with talent.
I like other stuff
Hasta Alaska driving a amped van from South America to guess where.
Another where an American is building a huge boat in his back yard out of folder steel sheet. It's massive engineering and possible not going to fantastically seaworthy at the end but he does love welding.
Other stuff is more game and work related stuff.
