I suspect he will get slated.

Or injured. 😉

God he's gonna get booed to the rafters I'm sure he's well aware of this and fergie will have spoke to him. Still expect some good beach ball humor. You know the team sheets yet.

Not yet. Rafa usually only announces his team around an hour before.

2pm kick off btw - not 4 as i had assumed.

Thanks for the heads up that would have been fun putting 5 live on only to find end of match round up. My friend managed to get tickets but he is a pool fan so I'm not sure on how their ticketing works.

Man Utd should play them off the park. And, what's more, a stuffing at home for Liverpool will be the best thing long-term for them.

interesting without gerrard liverpool are a lesser team but torres is the best finisher in the league. I'm pleased to see berbatov there, all the talk is about owen, I can see him being the fox in the box.

Couldn't go game today due to family commitments grrr. I think Owen will get some stick for sure. He didn't exaclty leave on good terms and playing for the "enemy" will not go down well.
Being totally honest I know his goals for us (Liverpool) totalled quite a few, he missed way to many chances and I always rated Robbie a much better player than him, a much more natural goal scorer. Torres is in another league compared to Owen, even Owen at his best. Glad Torres is playing but bad news on Gerrard being out as he will be a big miss. But thhat said, we did beat them at Anfield last season without him but I fear our form isn't anywhere near what it was last year.
I think it's a fingers crossed today for us Pool fans but hand on heart I think that Chelski will win the title anyway. Ah well here goes......

Because you underestimate them where as united go for jugular.

Vidic very odd easily one of the best defenders out there yet against torres he has a torrid time.

Ref was a bit lenient with carra

becuase Liverpool and their fans are just interested in being able to say "we beat you" to the top teams whereas the top teams see the bigger picture and ultimately really care about the big prize. Incidentally it's the reason why IMO Liverpool have been so succesful in Europe when they've typically been lucky enough to make the final.

I aren't interested in saying that just to the top teams - I want us beat anyone!!! Every team is interestd in the big prize, that's why they play lol. As for being lucky in Europe give me a break. EVERY team has luck, it's just how football is and how funny and unpredictable the game can be. How many times does a player come back and score against his old team hey? Loads of times, it's just how it is. Maybe your right, I mean 5 European Cup wins means your very lucky lol.

Must have been lucky the last 5 times then we won the Euro Cup then? 😯

Maybe you should be a football pundit or manager with that expert analysis 😕

😉

I was referring to recent Liverpool teams. I thought that was fairly obvious. Maybe not. Old glories mean nothing directly to any serious sportsmen.

How many premier league titles do Liverpool have?

stop hijacking the thread clubber - the question is simple. Just go to the top of the page and read again.
BTW, if you need some help 'the answer is "rightly terrible"

*cough* 2-0 *cough*

Owen got the reception he deserved, similar to Ince when he played for Liverpool against United. Anyway as Clubber intimated Owen is an 'old Glory' Torres is the future
