Love & Money in glamorous Bury next month; Sisters of Mercy in London in November, then Love & Money again in Glasgow in December. Aiming for at least a gig a month this year, so still a couple of gaps to fill.
Rammstein at MEN in March. Other than that, nowt so far.
friendly fires and bombay bicycle club at the apollo manc.
Love & Money? What that old 80s nearly-ran pop band? Blimey.
Hoping to see Dirty Dancing The Show at the Bristol Hippodrome 😳
I've got nowt on til scratch perverts in november... which is nice
Justin Sullivan/Dean White in Oct.
Arcade Fire at Edinburgh Castle next month and Arctic Monkeys at the SECC in November...looking forward to both a lot...
Dez - Yep, that's them. They re-formed for a one-off Celtic Connections gig in January this year, and got such an overwhelming reception that they're doing a small tour. They were great, actually, so "ner" 😉
nonk - Member
2wheelz enjoy the national mate i saw them at latitude and was fairly blown away by how good they are
Cheers.
They were amazing.
First time seeing them. Been a fan for a while.
I'd definately see them again.
Enter Shikari and The Cat Empire in October.. my first gigs in years!
Tempted to book Terrorvision and Reef gigs too.. just for old time's sake! 😀
Sisters of Mercy in 2 weeks- until last week when the buggers cancelled their down under tour due to lousy Ozzie ticket sales. Maybe Portishead in November......
The Unthanks at St Georges, Bristol, Tori Amos at the Royal Albert Hall, and several possibles, Magazine at the Komedia, Bath, Sons And Daughters, Bristol, Mechanical Bride at the Komedia, Bath, still to be confirmed, and Gemma Hayes, autumn tour dates yet to be confirmed. The Arcade Fire gig that fatmax is going to will be a blinder, saw them in Hyde Park a couple of months ago and they were outstanding.
Arcade Fire & PJ Harvey next month. Plastikman december 😈
Electric Boys
Mr Big
Rammstein
at the moment
At the moment:
This month - Interpol (tonight) and Reading festival
Next month - PJ harvey and Peter Doherty
October - British Sea Power
November - Arctic Monkeys
Nine Below Zero, Blakeney Harbour Rooms ....... 16th Sept, I think!
Want to see Jane's Addiction at Leeds, but £80 quid for a day ticket is a bit steep. Might still do it though, new songs sound ace.
Lemonheads in December in Newcastle.
Steve Earle in November in Manc.
my band is playing in a local (southend) pub tonight...
other than that steve cropper next week, steve cropper end sept and the specials in october...
Rise to Remain
Shadows Chasing Ghosts
Lacuna Coil
36 Crazyfists
Yellowcard
Alterbridge with Black Stone Cherry
Machine Head
Slow Readers Group at Sound Control in Mcr
Kurt Vile and The Violators at Sound control also.
Rise to Remain
Shadows Chasing Ghosts
Lacuna Coil
36 Crazyfists
Yellowcard
Alterbridge with Black Stone Cherry
Machine Head
Never heard of any of them...
A wild guess, going by the names, really bloody heavy?
Gary Numan at the Sheperds Bush empire in Spetember and hopefully the Damned at the Camden roundhouse in November.
Old Skool.
In date order ( all at Leeds Academy )
Bombay Bicycle Club
Noah & The Whale
Alabama 3
Pigeon Detectives
Saw Doctors
For a really good night out I can't recommend either Alabama 3 or Saw Doctors highly enough, if those 2 can't get you moving you are already dead 🙂
I've got a little psytrance festival lined up, up North this weekend and Eat Static in Wolverhampton on 25th November.
Litte Axe
Echo & The Bunnymen Ocean Rain Orchestra Gig
Magazine
Alabama 3
Trailer Park Boys (not strictly a Gig, should be interesting)
All in Glasgow
Metronomy in September
Cage the Elephant in October
Both at manchester academy
Dez - 36 Crazyfists and Machine Head are heavy 🙂 although Alterbridge, Black Stone Cherry, Lacuna Coil are more rock.
Rise to Remain and Shadows Chasing Ghosts are gigs for the GF. Don't mind the bands but wouldn't be my first choice.
Descendents + Face to Face - tonight @ Brixton
Little Axe - Edinburgh
Seasick Steve, Felice Brothers and Kassidy - Glasgow
Manchester Orchestra are great - saw them last year in Heaven (no really).
For me only Rival Schools tomorrow at the Underworld (which has got to be better than the half hour curfewed gig at Electric ballroom earlier this year) and Benjamin Francis Leftwich for the wife (ARU bar in Cambridge).
Lemonheads doing 'shame' is tempting too.
James Blunt this friday!
Not a popular choice on here I think lol
****ed Up tonight in Portsmouth then Horrors then Glasvegas in Brighton that's it I'm afraid.
I've YouTubed many of the above mentioned bands who I've not really heard of before - must say that I don't mind 'The National' at all. There's some pretty bizarre stuff amongst it as well mind. 🙂
Panther at Londonderry Lorry Park near Leeming this Saturday, £3 in & cheap beer. The singer's my nephew & the lead guitarist's called Fudge.
I predict a riot.
Jesca Hoop in Manchester on Saturday. Seen her before but by golly I'm excited.
WHAT!!! I didn't know those guys were still playing, saw them three times while at uni, great gigs.Death in Vegas (last week, Portsmouth)
I'm off to White Denim next week, these guys are criminally underrated, put on an amazing show as well.
Jane's Addiction on Tuesday in that there Lahndahn Town.
Only found out I was going last night. Very excited.
Cheers Andy!
Mogwai at End Of the Road next weekend. Also playing are Cambodian Space Project, who sound awesome.
