[Closed] What economical, fun practical car?

It might be time to grow up! I'm used to light small cars, currently in a Smart Roadster. I like the Mitsubishi Colt Cleartec: ~100bhp, ~1ton, £30 VED and allegedly handles ok (not driven one yet)

Anything similar but bigger? Seems most cars get heavier which then requires a bigger engine and these factors all change. Thinking £3-5K.

I needed a car and almost bought a boring diesel mini but a BMW Z4 caught my eye at just over 3k it's great. Only the 2.0i, I would have loved a 3.0 for the soundtrack but my days of smoking tyres are long gone
Road tax a wee bit more than £30 but the roof down , leather seats and it's good looks sold it to me

My dad's got a Colt Ralliart. Think it's about 150bhp, fun to drive, and relatively economical fuel-wise.
